Victor I Talking Machine

As the Victor I evolved over its years in production (1905 - 1920s) it was "upgraded" and was given bigger and better motors and other equipment. This advanced model has a 10" diameter turntable, and it's BIG in sound because of the flower horn it sports. It employs the same soundbox (needlehead) that all the Victor machines have. So, it produces the same high quality sound from your 78s.

We have thoroughly and expertly restored this instrument, right down to the gold filigree decoration on the bracket. We have carefully rebuilt and adjusted the soundbox (needlehead) to produce loud, bright and clear music. 

The Victor I employed the famous Victor worm-gear drive that simplified the design and concentrated the power. Any 10" 78 rpm record may be played. We carefully tweaked and adjusted this motor to produce smooth, reliable results.

The original Victor horn has been meticulously repainted and decorated with crisp gold stripes in the precise manner of the original. The Victor I is a machine perfectly suited for someone with limited space, but a fancy for century-old fun.
