EDISON TRIUMPH PHONOGRAPH

What technological features distinguished the Triumph from its less-expensive brethren? Well, primarily the TRIPLE-SPRING motor, which can run for half an hour with no load! Also the big, robust oak cabinet. This instrument is large, heavy, solid, sturdily constructed.

The mechanical works are stunningly bright and crisp. Notice how substantial and elaborate the components are. We have scrupulously cleaned, oiled and adjusted. We spent hours removing every speck of dirt, grime, gunk and grease from this mechanism. In 1908, Edison came out with a brand new type of cylinder record, one that played twice as long as the previous type. The older records were known as 2-minute records, and the new records were called 4-minute records. This Model B Triumph was adapted at that time to play BOTH 2 and 4-minure cylinder records, depending on the reproducer used. The 2/4 attachment is a great advantage to someone seeking a powerful instrument with which to enjoy an endless variety of cylinder records.

We painstakingly refinished the oak cabinet, using products identical to those employed by the Edison factory. The result renders the cabinet just as smooth and sleek as the original-paint mechanical works are shiny and bright.

The Edison Triumph -- top of the line, one of the finest playing instruments you will have the opportunity to enjoy!
