Edison Fireside Phonograph
The "Cygnet" horn was an Edison innovation that got the horn up, over the top of the machine. The rule in acoustic phonographs is "bigger horn, bigger sound," so this is a great advantage for those who really want to listen to and enjoy their records. The original Edison Cygnet (swan's neck) horn has been painstakingly restored with gleaming ebony enamel and crisp gold stripes.
The quaint oak cabinet has its original finish and decal. The instrument is spotless. We have meticulously "detailed" the mechanical works, while carefully preserving the original fancy factory decorations. Our level of work requires us to take the machine down to its tiniest pieces and address each one individually. What do you get from other dealers? A couple squirts of WD-40 and a quick coating of shoe polish! The Fireside Model B is equipped with a genuine DIAMOND reproducer -- one of the finest-sounding Edison components. It clearly and brightly plays the later-style Edison "Blue Amberol" 4-minute cylinder records We have many cylinder records for sale to the purchaser of this machine if needed.
