SEE MORE INFORMATION ABOUT THE GRAPHOPHONE
The Graphophone Type BV was the descendent of a similarly compact machine that Columbia had sold called the "AA." Both instruments perfectly embodied Columbia's signature styling and eye for elegance, with brightly nickel-plated hardware set against richly-figured oak. Topping it all off - a charming golden banner decal!
As you can see, the cabinet finish and original decal are practically brand new. We seldom find them quite this fresh!
On the rear panel, this equally excellent decal announcing Columbia's awards.

As noted, Columbia understood how to make even a modest talking machine look classy. This model uses a special reproducer not employed in any other type. Despite it's diminutive size, the BV plays well.

Columbia's clever mechanics.

Inside the cabinet, the oiling instructions. As always, we reduced this machine to its constituent parts, cleaned, polished, lubricated and adjusted, and - voila! an instrument ready to take its place of pride in your home.

When the BV was sold in Great Britain it was called the "Trump." Columbia issued a special flower horn perfectly sized for the BV -- this horn was (not surprisingly) known as the Trump horn. Here we see a precise replica of the Trump horn, appropriately matched with the BV or Trump. We are offering this as an alternative to the small nickel horn (see below).
The BV plays any Edison or Columbia 2-minute cylinder.
