Here is a message from a satisfied
client: Tim, I
received everything today and it all works great. I have had the Standard for 30
years and it never played. Now I can play all the records that I have been
collecting for many years. You were a real genius the way you got it to play and
I really appreciate it! The Victor plays like it used to and I am a very happy
camper!!! Thanks for all your help. K.P., CA
Victrola knobs -- The knobs from the doors of genuine Victor "Victrolas"
are often missing. These brass knobs, in antique nickel finish to match the
originals, 5/8" diameter, make excellent replacements. We sell them in
pairs, to minimize any differences with the originals. Complete with securing
bolt. (NOTE: not suitable for the smallest, earliest VV IVs) $15.95
the pair.
KOTTON KLENSER- A quote from a recent convert (Wyatt M., Edison Hound): "I'm kicking myself for not finding out about this stuff sooner!!!" KK is the finest cleaning and restoring product for old wood (and painted) finishes. Works wonders, and has been the "secret weapon" of antique dealers for years. Try it on that "hopeless case" cabinet or painted horn. You'll be a believer! Plastic tub of KK paste: $6.95
LEMON OIL AND BEESWAX- The perfect polish for old finishes, especially after they have been cleaned with Kotton Klenser. Leaves a thin coating of mild, inert beeswax to help repel moisture. Please note: this oil must be sent by UPS, so we cannot ship any order containing this product to a PO Box. Please provide a street address. We can not ship this oil to foreign countries. Bottle: $6.95
NEW PRODUCT! We are frequently asked about what oil to lubricate antique phonographs with, and we discovered that the BEST oil for the job was not commonly available in stores. Therefore, we have started carrying the "Zoom-Spout" oiler, a convenient dispenser filled with high-grade oil that will not turn yellow or gummy. The spout "telescopes" out. One handy plastic bottle will last for years, even if you have multiple machines to lubricate. We recommend you oil your phonograph once or twice a year depending on how much you use it. 4 oz. $3.50.
Victor
Horn Elbow to fit Victor "Monarch (back-mounted),"
"III," "IV," "V." This nickel-plated elbow
is identical in appearance to the original. Fixes to the horn with a "bayonet" fitting, and secures horn to
"back-bracket." $74.95

Victor
ECONOMY Horn Elbow, to fit the same
machines as above but made of solid aluminum. Not a historically perfect
replica, but solid and reliable. $49.95
Victrola winding cranks. We were getting so many calls for cranks to fit Victor Victrolas, that we had some replicas made up. All these cranks have "male" threaded ends. If you have a Victrola brand machine needing a winding handle, just make sure to pay attention to the model number.
CRANK
TO FIT VICTROLA "VI," and later versions of the "IV." Nickel-plated,
with wooden knob exactly like original. The later versions of the "IV"
were larger. The earlier versions were smaller and some took "female"
cranks. If you are confused about which "IV" you might have, please
e-mail us at phonotim@gmail.com -- we can
also provide cranks for some of these early "IV"s. $35.00.
CRANK TO FIT VICTROLA "IX,"
"X," "XI, "XVI " and some versions of the
"VIII" and "XIV." This crank has a "male"
fitting and will work on all Victrolas made after 1913. If you're unsure, look
at the MOTOR of your Victrola and see if it takes a "male" or a
"female" crank. In addition to the models listed above, it will also
fit Victrolas made after 1921 that use Arabic numeral
designations such as "80," "100," etc. It also fits certain
of the Victrola consoles such as "210" and "215." This crank
will also fit the "Credenza," or Victrola "8-30." Nickel-plated, with wooden knob,
exactly like original. $40.00.
CYLINDER PHONOGRAPH BELTING MATERIAL. No matter how good it looks, you really must replace that tired, old belt on any cylinder machine. Rubber bands don't work. This special, supple leather can be easily fit to an Edison, Columbia or any cylinder model employing a belt. Remember, all drive belts are not created equal. Some of our competitors sell shoe lacing which is so stiff that it can literally stall your spring motor. Our belting is specially made for antique phonographs. Easy to install with simple instructions.
SIZE 1. To make a
belt for Edison "Standard," "Gem" or "Fireside." Also works
with Columbia Graphophones Type "B" or "Q", $5.50.
SIZE 2. Belting
for ALL OTHER cylinder Phonographs and Graphophones than those listed in No. 1.
$6.50.
SUPPLE RUBBER CONNECTOR BETWEEN HORN AND REPRODUCER. For
large, supported horns a rubber connector is necessary. This is specially sized
for the job, not from an auto-parts store. Please note: the horn support kit
above includes one of these connectors. $3.95, includes shipping in USA or
Canada.

MAKING YOUR CYLINDER PHONOGRAPH REPRODUCER (NEEDLE-HEAD) PLAY PERFECTLY. If the needle-head on your Edison cylinder Phonograph or other cylinder player has never been restored or adjusted, you are losing out on the quality of the music. Old, fossilized reproducers are SHRILL, BLASTING, RATTLING or MUFFLED. Send PHONOPHAN your reproducer to be professionally restored and refurbished, and you won't believe the improvement! Average price of a reproducer rebuild is $75.00 (plus s/h/insurance), this includes correcting the most common problems. Occasionally, additional parts may be necessary to replace broken ones (especially if your stylus is damaged), at extra cost. Precise
Replica Columbia 14" Aluminum Horn
Most cylinder talking
machines, Phonographs and Graphophones, were shipped from the factory with a
14" amplifying horn. Then, if the customer wanted a larger horn, it could
be purchased separately. Columbia, in keeping with its out-front position in
innovative technology, created a 14" horn made of aluminum, a
"wonder" metal at the turn of the 20th century. These horns, with their
characteristic "plump" appearance were brightly polished and well
complimented the signature "shiny" styling of the Graphophone.
Although aluminum is the perfect lightweight metal for creating horns with no
"drag." it does not fare well when thrown into the attic.
Consequently, Columbia aluminum horns have been extremely rare. Several attempts
have been made over the years to recreate them, but we think our 14"
Columbia aluminum horn is the best. Virtually indistinguishable from he
original, brightly polished, exact in every detail. 14" long Columbia type
aluminum horn $135.00

Kit to restore Herzog
record storage cabinets It's
a testament to the American furniture manufacturer, the Herzog Art Furniture
Co., that quite a few of its record cabinets from the turn of the twentieth
century have survived. Unfortunately, a big factor in their survival
has been that they were "converted" by their previous owners to
"other" uses -- various types of storage, telephone stands,
etc. Particularly troublesome have been the shelves and pegs of the
Herzog "half-round" record cabinets. These were difficult to
replace -- UNTIL NOW! With the phonophan Herzog restoration kit, you can
replace all the shelving and reinstall the pegs in cabinets such as this: For
years, our clients have asked for a solution to this problem of restoration,
and at last we offer Three
door shelves, two inner, sliding shelves, and 147 cylinder pegs, PLUS the
wire supports that secure the door shelves -- a
complete kit, for $295.00 plus s/h. Get ready to bring that empty
Herzog back to life!
