Edison Phonograph

The "Cygnet" horn was an Edison innovation that got the horn up, over the top of the machine. The rule in acoustic phonographs is "bigger horn, bigger sound," so this is a great advantage for those who really want to listen to and enjoy their records. We have done a ground-up restoration of this instrument, including scrupulous enameling of the motor plate and perfectly replicated decoration. The Fireside was given embellishments far more elaborate than preceding Edison models, making it one of the prettiest instruments in the line. The Fireside has gearing for both 2 and 4-minute cylinder records, which gives the owner the greatest latitude to buy whatever records he or she pleases. See pricing below to examine your options.

We have painstakingly repainted the original horn and added appealing cabbage roses in the style of the period. Behold. the elegant, smooth-running, sophisticated Fireside with Cygnet horn -- the perfect music maker!
